Paoli Memorial Association

The Paoli Memorial Association formed in 1896 to oversee the gravesite of the 52 patriots buried in the walled mound on the southeast border of our property, and the two obelisks onsite (the 1817 and 1877 monuments). These Continental soldiers gave their lives in the ninth bloodiest battle of the Revolutionary War, commonly called The Paoli Massacre or The Battle of Paoli.

Today, these private grounds include memorials to The Great World War (WWI), World War II, The Korean War, and wars and conflicts through the War on Terror. Our grounds are used as a park site for walkers/joggers and leashed dogs, with benches and picnic tables throughout the park to enjoy. The Chester Valley Little League has three ball fields on our land, and to the far west stands the Malvern Memorial Cabin, home to Troops 7, 77, 76G, and to Pack 7. The jungle gym, swingset, pavilion, and tennis courts are all maintained by the Malvern Park & Civic Association.
